Curio — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 July 2026

Curio is a macOS app that helps creators track affiliate earnings and content performance, and publish to their own social accounts. This policy explains what data Curio touches and how.

What data Curio accesses

Where your data lives

Curio is local-first. Your content, earnings, and wardrobe are stored in a database on your own Mac. Your Instagram access token is stored in your macOS Keychain. We do not keep copies of your content, tokens, or earnings on our servers.

Our server (curio.fastapicloud.dev)

The Curio backend is used only to (a) complete Instagram login by exchanging the authorization code for an access token, which is returned to your app and not retained; and (b) temporarily host a media file you choose to cross-post, so Instagram can fetch it. We do not sell or share your data.

Publishing

Content is posted to your Instagram only when you explicitly publish it from the app.

Third parties

Curio uses the Instagram Graph API (Meta) under Meta's terms, and fetches public product images from retailer pages you link. No advertising or analytics SDKs.

Retention & deletion

Because your data is local, you can delete it any time: remove items in the app, tap Disconnect to erase your Instagram token from the Keychain, or delete the app. See our data deletion page for server-side requests.
